Student Technology Analyst for LiDAR Technologies & Semiconductor Manufacturing (m/f/d)

The task of this position is to investigate and evaluate two different cutting-edge technology areas: advanced LiDAR systems and future-oriented semiconductor manufacturing
Background
Understanding new technologies is crucial to driving innovation, such as in the field of autonomous mobility. The areas of LiDAR and semiconductor production are particularly important here. As an OEM, we continuously monitor research and market development throughout Europe in order to develop our strategies for the future. This includes identifying promising technological trends, analyzing industrial and academic activities and exploring new production concepts.
Target
In terms of LiDAR, the aim is to develop an in-depth understanding of new approaches and trends to enable higherperformance LiDAR technologies in the future.
- Systematic investigation, identification and evaluation of relevant technologies, materials and solutions with a focus on topics such as Meta-Surfaces and optical phased arrays (OPA)
- Investigation of efficiency with focus of thermal management of LiDAR-systems
- Communication of information & results for internal and external stakeholder
In terms of semiconductors, the aim is to develop a deep understanding of manufacturing issues, identify new ideas and approaches and work out what the next steps are
- Systematic identification & evaluation of relevant manufacturing topics & its institutes
- Clarifying the next development-steps based on knowledge gained
- Communication of information & results for internal and external stakeholders
You should meet the following requirements:
- Studies in electrical engineering, physics, materials science, or a comparable field
- Experience in the field of LiDAR, Photonics, optics & lasers
- Understanding of semiconductor fabrication processes
- Strong interest in technology trends and innovations
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build networks
- Proficiency in English (spoken and written) is required
- Drive, independence, creativity, and team spirit, as well as an open, communicative nature
- Additionally, you impress with your analytical thinking and methodical, structured way of working
